Bow Hospital at Denton Hill
« on: July 06, 2010, 07:03:00 AM »
I will have a booth at Denton Hill again this year and will be picking up bows for the Bow Hospital.

Save the cost of shipping and drop your patients off for refinishing and weight reductions.

I will also have some bows with me that I have refinished so you can get an idea of what your bow will look like when complete.  Some used bows will be for sale, along with the normal packs, hats, etc.

Stop in for a visit  :campfire:

Paul, are you camping?  Do you need a spot saved?  Irene and I are planning to pull in early and will be happy to save you a spot.

Mike, are you coming for  No Neck Tommy's Count Neck steamers?

Joe does an AWESOME job with the Bow Hospital.  He just redid my deceased grandfather's '49 or '50 Grizzly.  It was a basket case when I gave it to him and came back to me in showroom new condition.  I've been meaning to get some pics up, but have been swamped at work   :(

He also just did my Longhunter. It looks like new again. This bow is officially retired. It has proven itself over the years as a killin machine, a wading staff, something to hook and pull stuff out of the back of the truck with, can be dropped from a tree when you forget your rope, checking the depth of a slough, swatting rattlesnakes when you've run out of arrows, etc.

Joe, don't be humble. PLease post the before and after pics!

Here you go Biggie.  This is a bow that has paid its dues and earned a spot on the wall!

Obviously two different bows! NOT.

I saw Joe's work on Steve O's grandpaw bow. Saw the before when it was handed over at Kzoo and saw the after at Compton. It was just as much a rebirth as Biggie's bow above. Kudos Whipster. Wish I was going to be at Denton. On of these years...

Which side is Steve's good one?  I've never noticed a difference.  :p

I have the before pics of your bow Steve, but didn't take any afters  :knothead:    And I sure didn't want to post the "befores" without them.

I'll show mine if you'll show yours.
