I turned 50 eight months ago, and subconsciencely what I find myself doing is buying things that will now last me a lifetime rather than cheapo stuff ya usually go through every few years. Things like lawnmowers, weedeaters, treetrimmers, chainsaws and such. Tools and equipment that is suppose to last longer than 20 years, (I’m not doing yard work after 70 though…8^)) Just this past year have bought quality stuff like Gravely, and Stihl. Ten years ago would have never dreamed of paying that kind of money on lawn equipment.
Just the other day I needed a pair of tree pruners, so went to Lowes but rather than price shop and buy a cheap one, I bought the best they had…8^) I'm not buying another one in this life time…8^)
