I'm positive that I hear a thwack every time I shoot either of my Mohawks.

But that sound isn't heard anywhere near me, it's down range on the target.

I love that riser.  Is it Bubinga and Bocote?  Or Cocobolo and Bocote?  Just about anything in the red spectrum or dark spectrum of colors looks good with Bocote.  Did I mention I LOVE Bocote?

PS: My wife and I live in SC now, but we were both born in Joplin, MO and grew up across the border in Galena, KS.  We celebrated our 43rd anniversary on July 1st!

My quietest bow is a Pronghorn--I mean there is  NO noise at all when I shoot it. I'm having a bit of trouble quieting down a new PCH, but I may be setting my standards too high for a recurve.

I'd just be lying if I said I could tell you the names of the woods. Oh yes! I have been told more than once but it hasn't stuck. I guess next time I ask I'd better write them down.

I will have to agree with you that they look good together and this one is truly a looker.

I havent shot a Mohawk,   quietest I have shot so far is a Toelke Whip.
