Huntmore Chair Still In Business?

Are they still in business? They where supposed to send me some parts 2 months ago - have never received - called and can only get voice mail.

They were set up at Compons a couple weeks ago.  Probably busy with all the shows recently.

I heard from them yesterday when I emailed to inquire about when I would get the chair I ordered (and paid for) a month ago. They claim parts supply difficulties and have moved delivery dates back to August. My only complaints are that they should have notified people of the new delivery date and that most places don't take your money until they ship.  I suggest you email Scott to find out what's up with your parts. You can do it through their website.

I ordered TWO about a month ago and got an email from the company saying sorry, BACKORDERED,  and so many orders are in front of me, once they start filling them, I won't get my seats until AFTER deer season. I paid for them too, and they are offering refunds. I'd say not too impressive for a company selling $200 chairs to extremely discerning customers. That ain't gonna be much help come hunting season.

I guess I can now buy that Sitka Gear down jacket instead.......

You guys want a well built, but not camo, chair for blinds...I have this one and so does my 280# buddy.

We found them to be quite substantial. I talked to owner/maker and they're built hell for stout.

Scott took care of me at Comptons. I know he is hustling to keep 2 businesses going and strugging with parts issues. Good guy if given a chance with a very good product. If your not happy, take your refund and move on.

Wow, I was just at Campmor today looking at tents.  Didn't even think to look at chairs.

But I really want one that swivels... and swivels quietly.

Those Huntmore chairs DO look nice.  And comfy.  And they swivel.

I would absolutely pay $199 for a quality chair.  I have tried every kind of chair and they are all flawed.

Either the seat is too small, the backrest is too low, they are too noisey, unstable, don't swivel... blah, blah, blah.

This one looks like they have thought of everything.  My only concern is the triangular shaped seat.  I find square seats more comfortable.  The tri ones seem to cut off circulation in my legs after a bit.

I think most tri seats cut into you because they have one set height and doesn't fit everyone. This seat is easy to adjust the height so your legs are comfortable and I think that makes a difference.

If it was me, I would buy another seat from Scott in a heartbeat, even if I had to wait on it.  It is just as comfortable as my lazyboy at home.  No lie.  You take your refund, and go spend it on a different chair, but mark my word...You will be back to buy one, and you wasted your money on a different, and uncomfortable chair.

IMO, just wait till he gets what is back ordered and you will be very pleased you didn't waste your money on other chairs, like I have over the years.  Best money I have ever spent on a great quality chair.

Huntmore chairs are the best and Scott is a great guy to deal with.  Any small business has problems starting up, especially when the demand exceeds the availability.  When you rely on other manufacturers for parts, out of stocks can happen. If anyone thinks he wants to be out of chairs...come on???  He's a great guy, his products are great and when he's back up to speed everyone will get their chairs...you won't be disappointed.

Scott just sent me the new hardware for my Huntmore 360 Yesterday and I know he is trying to update the old one as well...He is a human and trying to keep a business flowing and he did send me the promised parts so that shows me he is a man of his word and will try to make right...Also I have a question to some of you that got the new hardware ... The directions didn't show where to put the two new quick latch's at!   Are they suppose to be for the strap to hold it across the back two posts or for the seat itself? Thanks in advance guys and a Big thanks to Huntmore for a Great Seat...

A chair like the one from Campmor has a weak link in its design.

I bought a chair just like it from another source and found that a full 250 lb person sitting on it very often will put tremendous strain on the single bolt that holds the three legs together.
 I took mine apart and put a fiberglass rod inside the tubular legs to beef that part of it up. But that didn't stop the the bolt, bushing and hole from experiencing the pressure of my big hiney on them..lol

I was considering getting a Huntmore before fall. It looks like I'd better hold off on placing that order, at least to the point I know they can fill it...lol

My son and I both have them...we are both big guys 230+ and they work great for us.  You can't go wrong.

I was wrong to make the statement I did about my chair being like the Campmor chair.

I bought a chair that kinda looked like it. There must be more difference between the tow than just meets the eye or else I wouldn't have had to reinforce the legs on mine. AS I have been made aware the Campmor chair is already reinforced in the same manner but with lighter(not necessarily weaker)wood than the fiberglass rod that I used.

If there's one big difference like that one, then there's likely to be others that I'm not aware of also. Therefore I was unfair to compare the two.

Campmor and Campmor fans/customers please forgive me for a bad comparison. I'm sorry, maybe I'll do better next time.

The "quick clips" are for the back two corners of the seat cushion.  Thread them on for good, and as snugly as you can, and clip them to the D-rings on the back posts when you put the chair together.  The front corner is still threaded though as it was before.  It does make the set up a little quicker and easier.

Far to many negative threads about the Huntmore Chair to suit me. I'm sure its a great product, and Scott is a super guy, but the chairs are backordered, as are replacement parts for last years chair. Think I'll wait until the bugs are worked out before I pre-pay $200 for a chair I've never seen, and I might not get before hunting season. Customer service issues are hard to overcome. Scott has a long row to hoe. I wish him well.

That is like asking if blondes are more fun!  :D  

Every butt is different. But    I found mine great. The li'l fold up back was priceless. fold up or leave it down. I also have a Nifty Seat that kinda leaves me 'numb' after a couple hours, but not the chair. Thing is I actuall dozed a time or two, so maybe that comfort isn't a good thing!  

The owner and I chatted back before I bought. There are some Walmart knock offs of his tables and chairs. His were made well. Heavy guage aircraft aluminum, hardwood dowels in legs at pivot points, etc.

Taking nothing from the gent who makes the Huntmore Chair, it sounds deluxe, I'm just not that well heeled, but also dislike junk and the Campmor suited me fine.  Just wish he made em in less bright colors!
