TwoTracks Longwalker Longbow (pics)
« on: July 10, 2010, 06:30:00 PM »
I've been wanting another 1 piece longbow for awhile. I saw Chuck at Grayling with his personal bow and asked if I could shoot. After a short session at the practice butts I asked to buy it. Graciously, he made me a great deal on this fine bow. I'm not an osage fan, but as well as this bow shoots I can over look the orange  :goldtooth:

The bow shoots well and is tolerant of spine and my poor shooting ability. I finished up some woodies I had laying around and liked how well they shot that I ordered more cedar shafts from Ted at Raptor. The bow has an oliverstacy string on it.

Osage happens to be my most favorite wood! If you realize you just can't live with it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands.   :D

Beautiful looking bow. I was actually looking at that model a while back. Glad to hear they shoot well.

I'm not sure about the grip. Hopefully Chuck will have something to add (when doesn't he?). I like it, it has more of a thumb guide then a thumb rest. Very repeatable, and very comfortable.

Owlbait, just keep that osage in the light for a while and it won't be so orange.

That last pic TOTALLY tripped me out. It looks like a HUGE longbow is at your feet.

It took me a minute to realize it was actually on the rail. lol

Awesome bow!!!

Glad you are Happy Mike, The woods are osage with maple in the limb, and figured sepele with a purpleheart I-beam handle. The grip is standard, tips I did Custom for me. Oliverstacy string and artic fox silencers from a yard sale muff.
Chupa, I should be after your next project soon. thanks for the good word.
Thanks for looking all.

Chuck, are the limbs trapped on this model? I am asking because the more I shoot and play with this bow the more I notice about it. It really is a fun bow to shoot.
