30 gallon metal trash cans make great feeders. I use 1" square tubing for legs and cut a hole in the bottom with a hole saw. Attach a motor, bungee the lid down and you're in business. Ive got several that are approaching 10 years old. They're ALOT lighter than the 55 gallon drum feeders, and hold up better than the plastic barrels.

Coons love the taste of plastic,& they all carry vice-grips.If they can't chew thru it,they dismantle it.Had to double nut the critter guard to keep the little devils from unscrewing it.All steel & double-nut the guard will help preserve yer sanity.Flex-steel conduit for the wiring is cheap insurance.Lottsa Luck!
