Can it be done?
« on: May 10, 2007, 09:27:00 AM »
Guys, I have a chance to get a PSE Kudu cheap. Here is my question. Can I take that bow riser and reduce the size of the grip and slim the riser down a bit? I don't like the bulk of the grip.

I had a PSE Blackhawk at one time.  My first trad. bow.  I believe it is pretty similar to the Kudu.  It also had a really beefy grip and I reduced it down some to make it a little smaller.  I didn't take anything off of any other part of the riser, just the grip.  Never seemed to affect it any.

Yup, no problem...just don't take it way too thin to affect the integrity of the bow...

Re-sand and spray with a can of Helmsman Spar Urethane from Home Depot in about 6 light coats of satin, and you're all done!!
