Both risers are equally beautiful. The choice, for me, would be easy to make since you stated that the veneers match the same wood of the riser at the contact areas. I like the back of my limbs to be dark.

I too think the risers are really nice. The heel of the grip reminds me of my Fox High Sierra.  I also think scaled checkering on the grip would be cool (like Norm at Blacktail does). This is a bow I've never heard of -- I hope this isn't another "here we go again" experience for me. I had never given Blacktail bows a 2nd thought until Winterhawk and Caccitorre started sharing pictures. Now I have a new 1-piece and a Snake Bit is due next July!

Those are nice Don.I have had a few risers done with coco bolo and Osage together. They are a sweet marriage for sure.

One of the bows I had made had pacific Yew veneers that really looked great with those riser woods.Very natural and very complimentary without being to busy.

Just take take both. It's easier that way. No. Then the one on the left has come home. When I look at them that one really catches my eye.

Don,

What are the Stalker's grips similar too? Is the width of the grip wider like the your Blackfeather or slimmer like your Blacktail?

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Hey Don,

That are 2 great looking risers. Somehow the shape of the grip reminds me of something!   ;)
And I also would go for the left riser, great choise!

Travis,

The grip is more similar to my Wallace "Mentor", which is wider than the Blackfeather, but not by much. It's thicker through the throat than the Blacktail "Snakebit" is.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of pictures and a review after I receive her and have some time to play a little bit.

Arnold,

Thank-You.......kind sir !!! That really means a lot coming from a fella with the talent that you posess.

I wish I had your problem, both look fine to me, but I'm a sucker for Osage...lol!

I'm with ya.....I like the accent stripe better on the same one. We should all receive our bows by the end of this month. I think......but I'm not positive that he wants to get them done before heading east for ETAR. I sure hope so anyways.

Those grips sure do look "comfy".......don't they ???
