Elevated rest/nock location

My question is where do you guys set your nock location if you use an elevated rest. I have a 58" Lewis hollow recurve. I shoot 3 fingers under, And i bought a bear stick on elevated rest. Do I use the bow square on the shelf first and than measure for my nock location, or do I measure from the arm on the elevated rest. Any help would be appreciated thanks brad

Measure from the arm of the rest to set your desired nock height.

I measure from the elevated rest to set my nock point,then adjust it according to the flight if needed.

I set mine about 3/8 above the rest. I find you can set your nocking point lower when using a elevated rest but maybe it's just me. I can't shoot of the shelf without bouncing my arrow off the outside edge of the arrow shelf. Tried everything to cure it with no luck. Started using a fliper rest and it solved the problem. Perfect arrow flight improves your shooting greatly.

I put on a nok set about where I think it should be. Then I get about 6-8 feet from the target and shoot a bare shaft. If the nock is pointing up I lower it. If it is pointing down I raise it. I keep adjusting until the shaft is entering the target straight. Then I measure where the bottom of the nock is and that is how I determine the correct nocking point for any given bow. Hardly ever takes more than half a dozen shots to zero in.
