My boy and his Samick Angel
« on: July 17, 2010, 07:50:00 PM »
My son AJ had a blast today with his Samick Angel!  It's a miniature 3-piece takedown recurve - black glass over wood core limbs, and a laminated wood riser.  It comes with three wood arrows, a soft case, and a metal bow stand.  It's small, but there's nothing "kiddie" about this bow.  AJ hustled right along beside 4 grown men through a muddy 30 target 3-D course, flinging arrows at every target he could.  Believe it or not, his first 4 shots were all in the 10 ring!  I'm so glad I got him this bow - best 60 bucks I think I've spent on him this year.

Looking good Al! I'll be bringing my son to ATAR next year, maybe they can terrorize the dinosaurs together.

that's one heck of a bow for the buck.  AJ held his own all day in the hills and mudd.  he's quite the trooper and a natural in front of a camera lens.

I was looking at the angel youth bow in the 3 rivers catalog but this looks better and is a 3 piece so easier to store. I think i might be getting ahead of my self though my son just turned 3 months old.

Big Al how old is your son? I just ordered this same bow for my girls who are 5 and 4. I can't wait to get it cause they have outgrown their little fiberglass/plastic one. Looks like alot of fun very cool..Henry

Henry, AJ is 4 but it's pretty safe to say he's not gonna make the NBA draft.  He comes from a family of fireplugs.  The Angel is just right for his frame.

Jason, that sounds great, it would be awesome for AJ to have someone to shoot with!

John, we missed ya up at ATAR this year, figured you'd come up to shoot since you don't have to hawk bows now.  Where were ya?
