I made it a long time ago ..and took a few deer with it. I'll be hunting the bow again this year.

This was my first bow that I made that I hunted with. Its a simple D bow. The first deer was a button buck . I wish I mounted it. I have killed many nice bucks with other bows I made and used flint tipped arrows ..but this old friend (made about 25 years ago) is still my "FIRST" Its time again to take it out for a walk and remember times when things were "SIMPLE". ...Jeff p.s. The late Jay Massey from Alaska loved this bow.He always wanted to hold it when I ran into him at shows and shoots. He made many bows .but he liked the simple ones. I'll think of him when that flint head fly's this season ..Happy hunting Jay !!!!!

FACTS
60# @ 24inch (plains style shooting)

50 inches from nock to nock strung

one piece Osage Orange (has darkened nicely)

I shoot off hand (no shelf)

Beaver Hide quiver

Primitive arrows (stone pointed)
