I want to use the simmons treesharks and am in the process of tuning some arrows but i need to know how far down the shaft they go so i know how long i need to leave my arrow.

Heh Kyle,
I think it is close to a inch for the screw in version. I use the glue on version with an adaptor so that is not an issue. I think the glue on version is stronger since the blades are attached to the ferrule at the rear. Awesome heads !

Thank you nocams for the info. I thought it was close to an inch just wanted to double check.

They look awesome and i have done several searches and the pictures show great results. The 190 grains look like they should be a perfect weight for my gts at there current length so i didn't want to go with the adapter and have to cut my arrows.

Check out Rick Whelch's Bowhunting I video.  He shoots a doe(in Florida I think) down the back with a tree shark.  The head is awsome!
