Great looking strings!! Awesome bows they are holding at brace by the way, beautiful lines with sweet wood choices.   :clapper:

Got another one in for ya' Josh. This post reminded me I need to order another string. Ha!

Chuck,
With my 26" draw I like 62 maybe a 60 inch bow in the Longwalker longbow you make and  and 50 to 55# at my 26 for both the Longwalker and Ambush.

Chuck,

Last night my friend came over.  He's a compound guy but has a slight interest in trad bows so i got out my ambush to let him shoot it.  here is the result.  He was pretty amped up about this.  (sorry for the pic quality this was with his cell phone just about sunset)

Dad,
Do it. kyle wants to come over and shoot some of your  bows to see what he likes. Maybe you have something you want to sell him and since he has more money than common sense...  :p

I saw Jake's in person the other night.  It was spitting an arrow out and doing it quietly.  I was impressed with the 50" recurve.

Chuck, I'm thinking 45lbs.@28" and of course the Osage and cocobolo, I love that combo.

Ya how bout a pic of an Ambush at 30"....   :D

So a little info on the "surprise" bow chuck posted pics of.

I called chuck and talked about the little Ambush.  I could not make up my mind on woods, but new that I did not want an I-beam, and did not want lots fo contrast.  I just said I wanted some nice figured wood, with a fair amount of grain showing.  I left the rest to Chuck to "surprise" me.

My Dad and friends said I was pretty brave to leave it up to some bowyer I had never met to build me a bow based on what he thought would look good....I never really gave it a second thought.

I called Chuck as the bow was nearing completion and asked him to write "surprise" on the upper limb, just seemed appropriate.

Thanks again Chuck for a great bow, and an even better bow buying experience.  I hope to hit you up on a blank in the not so distant future.

Thanks
Jake
