I'm ticked!!
« on: July 23, 2010, 12:46:00 AM »
I have a friend and man he has me ticked now!

I was all set to quite my search for the "It" bow(s) but he calls me tonight to tell me he has a new favorite bow and that's after only 25 or so arrows out of it.

I know for a fact that he knows what makes a bow a shooter. He already has some of the best and he and I see things the same or at least close when it comes to bows.

He called a couple of days ago to let me know he had found this bow and was thinking of buying it because he'd never tried one.

Then this call comes tonight just to let me know how in love he is with the new-to-him bow.

Dang it now I need to find one close to me so I can at least try one. I've never even seen one that I can remember and I know I've never put my hand to one.

I guess my trad-world of bows will just keep on turning for a while longer now.

Hey Buddy(you know who you are) I think I might just be hating on you a little right now...lol

God bless,Mudd

PS: yeppers, I intentionally left out the name of the bow. I may let the cat out of the bag later.(not that anyone else is interested)..lol

Well, sounds like theres no other way than trying one, even if that holds the risk of having to buy one....

BTW the only way to get em back is to find another holy grail bow that will intice him to have to make a search.

I am 100% positive that if he lived near me that I could shoot it all I wanted.

But he had to know by calling and telling me after just 25 or so arrows he now has a new favorite bow that he was just going to get me started all over once again...lol

Mudd, whats his address I will go and get that bow for you, so you don't lay awake at night wondering what it would feel like for you to caress the handle and fondle the string.Maybe we need a Trad Therapist on staff.

Mudd, don't be a hater. You know what he meant to say is this is IT for right NOW. The search never ends, some just get weak and make excuses to quit searching for awhile. Don't be a hater or a quitter   :nono:

You know what.... I don't know the answer to that one. I guess I'll have to do some research and get back to you on that one.

I never think of asking the simplest of questions, not much good on detail either.

Thanks for tweaking my braina bit.

OK! I let the cat out of the bag over on the classified forum so I might as well do it here too.

My buddy ScootM called me and said he had anew favorite bow and he only got it that same day(I think that's right), anyway with less than 30 arrows he says he is sold.

I got bitten at that moment and now I won't rest until I can find a Shrew to shoot just so I can see if I am that impressed.

I know that Scott knows bows and what a good bow is and does... this is gonna be interesting!!

I guess he could be... but he's not!

I would however love to find someone with  shrew that's close enough to me that I might get an opportunity to shoot one so I can see for myself what all the fuss is about.

You longbow guys are a bad influence on me. I've been perfectly satisfied with my recurves for over 45 years, and now you guys have gotten me curious about longbows.   :readit:    :knothead:    :D

Andy be prepared to add to your bows if you do.

That's the best case scenario, the worst case is you'll hang up the curves and become a longbowman..lol
