Had sometime to shoot my new Bear A-Riser (pics)
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:02:00 PM »
Hello Guys, I haven't posted any pics of my Bear A-Riser I got from a older friend of mine who went to shooting LH.. He knew I always wanted a Bear T/D so he gave this to me as a really early birthday gift.. Since the time I got it I haven't had much time to take pics of it.. Well I took the day off today to spend sometime shooting it and finding out which arrows I wanted to use on my Pig hunt in Dec..

Its a newer A-Riser with old white limbs from Grayling.. its 43@28.. Its such a sweet shooting bow...

Enjoy the photos,

Cody

Cody,
You have an American classic and a real treasure. I have 4 Bear takedowns in my modest collection and each one is as great as the one next to it. Take good care of it. The more you shoot it the more you will like it.
You have a great friend there.

One of those Bear TD's is on my wish list, so congrats on the gift.

BTW, is that cat already on the grill?   :scared:

That is a nice bow and even better friend you have there.  I want to shot a Bear TD some day.

Bear TD's are my all time favorite!  I shoot a newer A riser with white #2 Grayling limbs that are 53# @ 28.  I would never even start to thinkabout getting rid of this bow!  Good luck with it and enjoy!

Cody,

I have two Bear TDs, both B risers… I love them !!! IMO that bow was the best designed TD ever. No tools needed to break it down or put it back together…I have not seen any design since that tops that. It is as fine a shooting  bow as you can get for a production bow…  It's nice to know that they are still being made…Though at a hefty price new>>>>

I have had mine for years trading from a Compound to a longbow and now exclusively to the Bear TD Recurve.

I am sure you will enjoy… Here is a Picture of one of mine>

May you have many a happy day afield with that gem.

Congrats Cody on your shooting positions. As you know I like the Bear TDs me too. They are great bows and if the most famous feature is the latches system, what I appreciate the most is the accuracy and quietness.
