Shot this chuck with the Bear A-Riser
« on: July 25, 2010, 06:29:00 PM »
Hi Guys, If you seen my other post about my New Bear A-Riser ( new to me anyways) You see I said I haven't been online much since May.. Anyways as I was looking for some photos I found a few of a woodchuck I shot in June at a friends farm with the A-Riser.. Just wanted to share them with you guys here ( hope you don't care)

Anyways the story goes like this... On June 5th I wa over to my friends house helping him and his gradpa with some farm work.. Well rigth after we got done with work. My friend and I get are bows out to shoot at a few targets he has at his place.. As I get my bow out and string it up I here that little son of gun( other word used then gun) coming from my buddy dave's grandpa mouth.. I said sir whats going on he said well there that damn woodchuck out in the field( at that time the field was all dirt) He said I have been trying to get him ever since I seen him a few weeks ago.. I said you care if I try for him ?? Grandpa said wait and I'll go get my .22 and you can try all you want.. I said I don't need a gun I'll take my bow.. He's was like yeah rigth like you will even get a shot at him.. But he said more power to you.. So I take my bow and ONE junk arrow with that had a MA-3 broadhead with me and then I go arcoss the field.. I find his hole and like well I'll give him a few mins to see if he comes back up to look around.. I back up about 15 yards or so.. get down and wait I'd be about 5mins after I set back I see him pop just his head out of the hole.. I said to myself this is better then I was hoping for.. I drew that 43 pound bow back to full draw and let the arrow fly.. I seen the arrow sticking up out of the hole I was like alrigth          .. I'll give him a min or two and walk up slow.. Well after a min I walk up and here he lays dead in his hole... I pick him up and take him back to grandpa ( which seen the whole thing) He after that hasn't said anything about me shooting a stick and string....

Best Guys,

Cody
