Weekend fun...bowfishin' and Muzzy practice....
« on: July 26, 2010, 04:50:00 PM »
Saturday morning Cade and I hit the river with our bud Gary K....

Cade ended up with 5 shots, and a couple real good close-up opp's....but he never touched a scale...Dang-it!

One fish that he missed stayed around too long, the "back-up shooter"     :p    got a shot... Cade fought him for me...

Nice pic of Gary while we sat in the middle of the river relaxing on some rocks.
•

Then yesterday morning Gary, Tim, and I hit the river at daybreak. The plan was to bowfish for a while, then do some practicing for Muzzy.

Well I forgot my Kwyk Styk and reg. arrows      :knothead:

But it worked out pretty good as you'll see...

So first fish I hit, fought for about and minute and somehow lost it!

Then I saw this...

How cool it that!

Next fish I made a good stalk on...then blew an easy shot!

But my next 2 shots were on the money...
•

Then I ran into Tim and told him I forgot my other bow. But I would go home and get it and Cade and come back to shoot since it was so early.

Since I left the river before Gary, and didn't see him before I left....I missed out on getting pix of the 2 fish he shot     :(

Picked up Cade and we where back with Tim and Gary to start shooting around 9:00...it was sweltering already!

I have a bunch of video clips to add later on...

Looks like a great day. Thanks for the pics.

As a snapper trapper, the turtle pic is super cool. Some frickn' good eatin' there.  By now, most of our females have been bred.
