Greatful for Tradgang
« on: July 29, 2010, 02:20:00 AM »
Well, its been a tough year for me.  On April 5th, I had surgery to remove the middle joint in my left thumb , and fuse the bones together. so I had to put the bow down for a few months.  I got my cast off at the end of May(sat out turkey season).  I was able to start shooting again in mid June.  I didn't lose a step, as a matter of fact, I seemed to be shooting better, even though the strength didnt really come back in my hand.  Well, about 2 weeks ago, I found out that the fusion never healed, and I needed the surgery all over again. So I'm side lined again until at least mid September.  It's been a real bummer, esp. since I had previously booked a bear hunt in Maine for the first week on sept.

Anyway, its the reading of the posts on Tradgang thats been keeping my spirits up. keep'em comin!

I pray that the next surgery will be successful and God would grant you His peace which passes all understanding.

I too am sorry that you're having to go through this trouble, not to mention the pain plus the misery of not being able to shoot or hunt.

If I were a better hunter I'd invite you to come be my videographer. Maybe there's someone close to you that could use that help.

I don't know where that brainstorm came from but the more I think about it that sounds like it could be fun for me too. I think I might do a little volunteer work...lol

God bless,Mudd

thanks guys.  Funny thing is, when the doctor told me he needed to go in again, my first thought was,"I wont be able to shoot my bow!!" Hopefully, I'll be able to make NY's bowseason.

Also, I bought a new Black widow PCH in February.  It looks real lonely unstrung on the bow rack!
