I ran into the same problem and had to just keep zooming in as medicineman mentioned.

The 60CSx is one of the best GPS units out there.

Mine is shipping from the Cabelas' sell a couple of months ago.  Who is the 60 CSX guru on Trad Gang?

See,

That link you posted is dead.  Did you mean  www.GPSfiledepot.com  ?

Thanks Chuck.  Nothng like having a high dollar multi-function do-dad and can't take advantage of the features.

Billy,

These GPS do-dads have come a long way.  I have a Delorme PN-20.

Kind of neat to be able to see where you are in USGS Quads, color aerial, BW arerials, bay charts at a glance.

Another 20 years you'll just buy a GPS card at Walmart and plug in our heads.....and know everything.  :)

Hey, I have an 18-year old at home that knows everything.  Does that count?

I just got a new one and I am having the same problem. But I got a buddy who knows what he is doing with this model. I just have to find the time to learn the system.  :readit:    ;)

Assuming you've installed the topo to your pc and can now see it in mapsource on your pc, then downloaded the proper desired blocks to the 60, and have the 60 properly set up to show/hide those series...?

I have Garmin CNNT road maps, Garmin Topo maps, and portions of Ark, Miss, and Tx from FileDepot in my 60csx, and choose accordingly as needed.

I use my 60 for everything, offroad motorcycle travel, hikes, hunt, fish, etc. etc. Lots of practice with routing and tracks lately.

Dwight I was able to download and install the TN topo maps from   www.GPSfiledepot.com  and do the automatic install into mapsource.  I had to go out to 1000 mile view to find it then slowly zoom in and switched detail to highest.  I made a few waypoints  and then used the map select tool to select a couple of maps to make a map set containing the waypoints. I did a find on one of the waypoints and selected map. The Tn topo  came up in detail.

If you are still having problems pm me with your phone number and perhaps I can walk you through it.
