Bowcase for my Morrison ILF recurve
« on: July 31, 2010, 05:45:00 PM »
I needed a bowcase to store my Morrison ILF recurve. However most of the recurve T/D bow cases available come in a standard size which I found to be too large for my purpose.
So I decided to make my own bowcase and here is the result. As you can see all just fits in nicely and also the arrows can stay in the strap-on quiver.

Gene,

I made this bow case from scratch. I used 10mm thick (~0.4") hard maple flooring for the sides and 4mm thick (~0.16") hard plywood for top and bottom sections. Then as cover I glued a "real tree camo" cloth on the top and bottom section (bought on e-bay).
The interior is covered with single sided adhesive black felt. I enforced the inside corners and glued a black (10mm) U-profile along the edges. The black corner pieces, strap, hinges and locks were also bought on e-bay.

Arnold   You have to be the most talented one man I have ever seen.  Seems like if you build it its a great job.  This case is very well done.  What are you planning next?   Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
