3D Shooting for the first time!
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:58:00 PM »
My buddy Makenzie went on her first 3D shoot today with myself, vtmntman and vermonter1. A good time was had by all and Makenzie earned her first 3D shoot medal. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we did the shoot and company.

First target and scores!

Looks like I could take some shootin' lessons from the young Lady.   :notworthy:

Thanks guys. I sent her the link to this thread so she could see the support here.

She also let me know today that she want's to take the hunter's safety course and join me in the woods.

Makenzie lost her dad this past January. Her mother and my wife are best friends(for 21 years or so) and I've taken her and her younger brother Casey under my wing to get them into the outdoors(they've both taken to it spectacularly).

Hey Vermonster, Makenzie and Casey are lucky to have you, there is nothing like traditional archery to keep youngsters grounded in todays world with all of the peer preasure, its something that will stay with them in a good way for the rest of their lives. Great shooting Makenzie! DK.

I am so glad that Makenzie is finding out about the things that give me so much joy in this life. The beauty and the infinite discoveries that are in the outdoors, handling a bow and being able to put an arrow in the mark, clean air and exercise, it is all good! I hope that Makenzie has many opportunities to get afield, and many happy memories to put in her game bag.

Looking forward to lots of stories and pictures!
