A 3D shoot with a young'un
« on: August 01, 2010, 07:25:00 PM »
My wife and I had the extreme pleasure yesterday to attend the 6th Annual Eastern Ohio Traditional Rendezvous with a friend of mine. First off, I want to thank Robert for allowing my wife and I to tag along. He brought along his nephew and great nephew. Brandon is 8 1/2.....going on 9. He has been blessed with having a Great Uncle that is not only a very good shooter himself (Robhunter), but is quite a good "teacher" too. It really shows in this young mans form. It is such a breath of fresh air to be around these young'uns with all their spunk and desire. The "flashbacks" that were caused by shooting with this quite talented young man were worth more than the price of admission.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. He was going about 100 miles per hour as most young boys do and was indeed a pleasure to spend time with. Thank-You......Robert, Wayne (Brandon's Dad), and most of all Brandon for allowing us to be a part of your fun.

Oh, and by the way.......the red and white fletched arrows are Brandons.

Brandon's Dad......Wayne

Brandon's Uncle Robert (Robhunter)

Myself.....notice the arrow in flight

The results...........

More to follow.......

This young man is a "shooting machine" !!!!! Oh, how I wish I had been exposed to such things when I was his age.........

Elmo is in "deep doo-doo"

This is a really nice shot, both camera wise and arrow wise. This stuffed dog had a bone in his mouth and Brandon promptly "removed it".

A GREAT day spent with even BETTER people. Thanks again........Robert, Wayne, and Brandon !!!

That is why I love traditional archery.  My boys, 6 and 5, are the same exact way.  They would shoot till there fingers fell off if I let them.

They actually had to drag him away.......he was still wanting to shoot. Robert said that they hadn't been in the truck for 5 minutes and he was sound asleep.

Dreamin' sweet things about his first traditional shoot.........no doubt.

Oh, to be so young again.
