Here's a Groves I  no longer own. I would have gotten  lighter limbs and kept it if Groves had not gone out of business.

Here's my DAS Master Hunter (not phenolic...but all black) with its  new set of Border llimbs.

Ive been thinking about refinishing a Colt bow in all black if I can find one that shoots the way I want it to around 50#. I got a Colt Pioneer but it is in mint condition and to light for me(25#). I think the all black bows are cool!

Got a Big River on order with a phenolic riser and black glass limbs.  Wish I had pictures to show but gotta wait a while on that.  I think all black is beautiful in an understated way - functional beauty I guess.

That Groves is a nice looking bow. I also miss the demise of Groves.

Good post.  Black glass will always be my favorite... at least until someone comes out with a darker color.        :)

This is a '69 Super Kodiak, 65#@28. It has rosewood nosecaps but they are so dark that they appear black. I think its one of my prettiest bows. Pretty good shooter, too.   Grant
