Question about Painting Limbs
« on: August 05, 2010, 09:13:00 PM »
I've got a set of KAP Windstorm limbs that are silver with a very slick finish. I want to paint them so I can use them bow hunting. My question is how should I prep them to get a good coat of paint? Any suggestions you guys can give me would be really appreciated. I want them to look decent so I thought I would ask before I started. Thanks

I painted a Wallace longbow and I just wiped it off with acetone and air brushed it with water base model paint. Worked fine and cheap fits the bow. Frank

I have used removable camo paint before.  It seems to stick to about anything and if you ever want to go back to the original finish you can.
