goofy ground mole question

Finally caught one of the tricky little fellas and am wondering if the hide could be used for anything? If so how?

a guy at work said he tanned them.he then saved enough of them to make a patch work vest.he claims it is the softest fur on the planet.i don't know how true his story is but i've never known him to lie.

Ground mole?  It would be a shame to grind the backstraps.  They're much better lightly grilled over a cigarette lighter.

I've trapped about 15 moles this year, and every time I tossed a carcass into the brush I wished I could do something with the "pelt."  L'il things are as soft as... moleskin!!

I would have been glad to send them to you Wingnut, but ONLY if you promised never to show the results!!!     :nono:

back in  "the day" a moleskin was THE thing to rest one's knuckles on when shooting marbles....

How about a rug arrow rest? They used to sew dozens of skins together to make pants or jackets.
