Hush Puppy question
« on: August 09, 2010, 11:24:00 PM »
Does anyone have a contact phone number or email for Bow Hush? My order arrived today...or, half of it arrived.

Andy

Or....maybe I'm just iggernant. I ordered enough for 4 strings. In the package were 4 strands of Bow Hush and 2 glued-together Hush Puppies. Shouldn't there have been 8 strands of Bow Hush and 4 Hush Puppies (assuming they are halved?)    :help:

I don't think so,a one order a bow hush is enough for two bows which equals 4 strands of bow hush.Hush puppies are enough for 1 bow which is two hush puppies. How many did you order? For 4 strings you need 2 orders of bow hush and 4 hush puppies.

I haven't ordered Bow Hushes, so I'm not sure about those.  One order of Hush Puppies is good for one string and comes as a pair (two glued bundles).  So, for 4 strings, you should have 8 of those glued bundles (4 pairs).

I ordered 2 Bow Hush pkgs, which should be good for 4 strings. I also ordered 4 Hush Puppies. What arrived was 1 of each, if/since each 2 glued bundles is one Hush Puppy package.

Each pkg is $6 and I sent $36. I can take care of this via snail mail...just would rather speak to someone, if possible.

I'm confused when it comes to math but doesn't one bow equal two limb tips which need hushing?

As far as the hush puppies are concerned, aren't they applied just like any other string silencers? I usually put one above the nock point and one below.

Just multiply that by 4 if that's the number of bows that need the help.

I'd like to say that I really appreciate this site and its posters. Even though I've only been here a short time, I've been warmly welcomed and accepted. That's rare on internet forums. Further, I'd not hesitate to do business with anyone or any company here. When I ordered from Bow Hush, I didn't realize it was 'locally owned.' But I wasn't worried about the minor order snafu, because the integrity hereabouts is palpable. Thanks to all for a great site!

When I started this thread, I was unaware that Bow Hush was 'locally owned.' Even so, I'd like to say that my order was corrected and  was filled completely and with plenty of contact with the proprietor. Thanks a bunch for great service and a great product!
