Y'all're all wierd.

I cannot & will not ever get used to grits.

Eeuurcghh.

It's like licking a hot paving slab covered in algae.

A real breakfast, a Manly, Manly, Man's breakfast consists of Coffee, eggs (sunny side up or scrambled) sausage, steak & beans (fried up in the bacon fat) Toast; 2 slices an inch thick, more coffee & a honey bun or crispy cream donut to finish.

Actually that' maybe why I'm such a fat bastard.

Maybe mueseli in future.

Can't really figure out the grit thing? They taste like whatever you put in your mouth before or after them? Oh well maybe some folks need more practice swallowing.   :dunno:

I like my venison breakfast sausage and eggs.  I've really only had grits a few times and it was ok.

I need to ad, I have been using hot sauce on my eggs for quite a while now.

I agree on the pies, Ron.  I'd never turn up my nose at a cream pie either!!   :)   mm

Ron, I was born and raised in the south and have been eating grits and eggs since I was knee high to a pothole. Moved up to Oregon in 2000 and still eating and surviving on them. Now getting my Yankee wife to try them has been a challenge but, she doesn't mind making them for me!   :D

Hey Rob, you forgot the Marmite/vegimite crap on ya toast. I'm with you on the grits - they give me the $chits. Only thing worse is dem biscuts and gravy stuff yuaawl eat! Stuff looks like cat food on a biscut to me.

Yogurt, oatmeal (steel cut) and blueberries is my kind of breakfast. Nothing wrong with bacon/eggs but any more than once a month or so an I'd need a new belt.

LOVE them grits.  I can eat them by itself, or with a full course breakfast.  I like them best with butter and a little salt and pepper, maybe a little cheese sprinkled on top.  Man, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.  Don't like them too much if they get clumpy (too dry).

This is a good hunting breakfast that will stick with you a few hours: scrambled eggs, grits with honey and biscuts and gravy.  Sometimes just skip the eggas and the grits on the biscut and gravy.

Ron, no self-respectin' southerner eats instant grits. 20 minutes is right.

SSU on the eggs. Gotta mix the yolk in wid da grits. Sop it up with biscuit. Southerners don't eat toast. Though they will try to serve it at the Waffle House.

tip- ask for the biscuits.
