It doesn't matter. Use either wing.

I'm RH and prefer LW,but I shoot both RW and LW.LW gave me better feather clearence on my wood arrows. But with arrows these days with tuneable nocks, you can just rotate the nock for best clearence.

One thing to add GEN273, IF you choose to shoot single bevel broadheads they should be the same as the feather..e.g. right helical feathers means right bevel single bevel BH.
TGMM-Family of the Bow

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

I am right handed but use left wing feathers also. I guess the main reason is when I started making my own arrows (1970's) left wing was what we could get.
I do have right clamp for my Blitz but found more feather wear and clearance problems. Now that is more than likely the way I touque the bow. Try both.

If you're in to varied colors I would recommend LW.  I use RW and found there is greater color selection at the big shops in LW.  I can find RW in most colors but you have to look a bit harder.

I have no clue on the performance aspect.  I trust the other posts here though.

It will matter if you shoot off your knuckles.

Left wing feathers and broadheads are more common.
Availability might make a difference to you.
I've heard either can be shot just as well as the other. Just don't mix and match on the same shaft.

I use both. I find that LW works great from my longbows because of finger clearance while RW is fine for my recurves. I am crazy for using both but it provides me with something differant to use when making arrows. As stated above don't mix and match.

I like LW because it keeps the feather from hitting my hand . I like to shoot bows that the shelf is a close as possible to my hand and sometimes big 5 in.-5 1/2 in. feathers with clip my hand if I use RW .

I don't think it makes a difference, however, I shoot RH with right wing, but cock feather IN to keep from slicing my knuckle. Experiment, you may find something contrary that really does make a difference for you. Good luck!

Funny thing about that. I'm right handed and all the arrows I fletch are right wing, because I have a right wing bitz. They shoot just fine. Checked earlier this week for a friend. All of my arrows that I have bought the last few years are left wing. They also shoot fine. I ain't winning any contest, but I do OK with either. I do believe that the left wing feathers are more readily available. I'm going to have to start requesting rt wing when I order, just so I can replace the few feathers that "Ric O'Shay" intentionally knocks off my arrows when we shoot together. He is kinda bad about that. Personally I don't shoot well enough to do it myself.  :banghead:
