The kids range was real nice. It was also great to see a lot of loner bows and arrows for the kids. That was something missing at Compton. I know my kids liked trying some of those bows. We are in the process of getting them some better bows right now and they both found bows they liked shooting. I was able to get some feedback from them on style and weight.
The courses and targets were great. There were a lot of nice hunting range shots, some long ones to challenge, and some short ones to build confidence. I know my kids had a great time shooting. I was impressed with the number of targets put out; the yellow ribbon course could have had 50, but I lost track so I am guessing.
The silver arrow was fun. I just wish I would have thought to start gapping on round three before I got to my third arrow.
I can’t think of a better setting for this event. With camping, a lake, and the village there is a lot to do if you are not shooting.
