Opinions on my arrow weight
«
on:
August 15, 2010, 03:07:00 PM »
I recently (bout 6 months) started shooting 60lb. Fortunately I could use the same arrows as my 50lbs limbs. I try to stick to 10gr per pound, so these arrow out of 60lbs are 497gr. They shoot great, but I was a little concerned about their weight?
Anyone have and opinion if I shoot bump their weight up or not?
Thanks

If they fly well with your broadhead I wouldn't be a bit concerned about that weight. My arrows will be even lighter and at much less draw weight.

If they work for you go for it. Usually 8 gpp voids any warranty. I shoot 12-12.5 gpp.

Tuning is more important than weight. If you are huntign whitetails, I wouldn't worry about it. Get you bh sharp and shoot straight.

Though I prefer a little heavier arrow if these fly well and shoot well for you I would not hesitate at all. Heavier is not always better if you sacrifice arrow fligth.
