A little help.
« on: August 18, 2010, 01:24:00 AM »
Hi fellas, been wanting to get back into trad for a while. I got my eyes set on two bows and need your opinions on one of them. Ive Been looking at a zipper and a blackwidow pma. The My brother owns a zipper and its awesome, very pretty, feels great, excellent bow. Basically never shot a black widow, but as a kid I remember walking into butts & bows in bellville NJ and seeing it hanging up, and since always wanted one. I do they shoot, feel, compared to a zipper or a brackenbury.

Any opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

The best thing I can say is.. Others can only tell you how they like any one type bow or how it feels in their hands.. I have the worlds Greatest Bow, but to You and others it's only a OK bow or a Piece of Dunn.

He is a big BW shooter and I think he still has his archery shop.. He is also known as one of the nontypicals on here, but haven't see him here in sometime.. I'll look for his email addy and post it for you..

Peter LeMasson  Tell him I told you to email him and You would like info on BW bows. Also ask if Y'all can meet up and see some of his bows.

I hope this helps..

Between those high end bows it is really a personal preference thing, and our opinions don't mean much.
Spend some quality time with a lot of bows and see what is best for you.

I agree with Bjorn, those are all qualty bows, you just need to shoot some and see would you like the best. Some bowyers have a try before you buy program,Black Widow does.

Compare the Black Widow to your brothers Zipper. Both are great bows, just choose the one that you like the feel of the best.

Ditto!

But I will add, I would go with the Zipper if I were you...  :D
