Nice Guy
« on: August 18, 2010, 09:02:00 PM »
I was passing through Fairbury,IL today.

Decided I need some things and stopped by Ace Archery.

Went in and met Bob(owner). We talked and laughed. Had about a 45 minute visit and business time. He dug through his stock and got the things I needed. We talked arrows, heads, bows and former owners.

I saw a picture of the Zwickey and Ace founders and a 600 lb bear shot in 1951. Then; he showed me and I held the Bamboo Backed Osage that the bear fell to!

I left with the feeling that I had just met a really nice, honest businessman, and fellow Trad hunter.

Good visit. Good products. Nice Guy. I'll spend more money with him.

Ace Archery is a top notch company.  That is great you got to hold such a piece of archery history.

Last weekend at Michigan's GLLI I purchased a pack of 160gr. Ace Standard broadheads from Bob...heck of nice guy.

No better people than Bob and Jan!

Excellent products and some of the best service I have ever received....Just wish they were a sponsor; I'd do a lot more business with them if they were.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
