Hi ya'll,
I have been away for awhile, had some "storms of life" over the past year, but things are letting up, and I have a little free time now. Have been shooting my recurves more in the past couple of months, as I am more of an Archery in the winter, rifle in the summer shooter.
Anyway, been shooting a Grizzly 60@28 that I bought here, and enjoying it. Something this year has been pushing me to try a longbow.
I bought from Jack Shanks off of these classys (excellent seller BTW, will buy from him again if the opportunity presents)and went with a MONTANA longbow.
Got it last night, and within 12 arrows had my nocking point set, and all was good.
Man what a difference!!
I can actually hold this bow for a couple of seconds before release--shoots so much easier!!!
Doesn't seem to have the same shot cycle--and puts the arrows where I look.
It is much easier to shoot in an instinctive type way.
Good thing is, it seems to shoot the same arrows as the Grizzly well.
I will have to get used to the extra length, but it definitely is more "fun " to shoot.
I can tell that I am gonna have to try and build one of these in the future!!
God bless,
Farmer
