It will be my first season of traditional bow hunting and I will do most of it one the ground.  Will try the shaggie long coat and the bushrag. I want to take a deer eye to eye.

I'll be on the ground but not in a ghillie suit.

My first trad deer two years ago was walking back to the cabin from my tree stand so I certainly got hooked on the idea as part of my hunting options for whitetail.

I'm a ground stalker too.  No ghillie, just regular camo and stick to the shadows/shade the best I can.

I tried a gillie, but it didn't look good on me.  When I was walking around practicing in my yard a woman called the police on me.  Is it considered assault when a police officer injures himself while laughing himself into a stroke?

I hunt on the ground nearly 100% of the time but no ghillie suit.

It's alot safer than resting your feet on a 18x24" platform, strapped to a tree...Been on the ground all these years with the exception of bear hunting or one stand my buddy has for me...large platform 10 ft high....

Pick out the right ambush locations and ground hunting is extremely effective....

I guess im not as good a hunter as some of you. Ive got to use a G-suit or some kind of leafy gear. where i hunt im the tallest thing out there sitting down.

My stands are getting shorter and shorter.  Have a couple of natural blinds set up for this season.......Randy

I might have to go to the ground this year, do to a hand injury.  Not sure if I trust its strength.  I usually mix it up during the season anyway, all depends on where I'm hunting.

I'll be on the ground some this year. I'll hunt a few ladders as well. The further I have to go back into public land, the more likely I'll be on the ground with my Guille when I get there.   :archer2:

Only been up a tree once and that was for bear.  Other than that it's been 100 percent ground attack for me.  Although I'm thinking about a stand for whitetail here in N. Idaho this fall???
