ILF Tech ? Please

The brass sleeves on the limb bolt required?
Yes or No
Just got my first ILF set up and the temporary limbs came from Trad Tech and they wouldnt fit with the brass sleeve and there was a rubber overlay on the bottom that made it tought to fit the limb. I called trad tech and the answer was plastic cover belongs but you dont need the sleeve or spacer unless you the fit is sloppy. He was pretty sure was the final statement though which didnt give me a lot of confidence.
Thanks for any help

I'm pretty new to ILF also. The sleeves's keep the threads from rubbing the limb butts.I have heard of guy's sanding the limb bolt groove until it fits. And then putting a little clear coat over the sanded spot to reseal.I havent had any of the trad tech limbs. But i dont think you need the rubber pads.I know they dont come on Morrison,Dryad,Samick or Greatree limbs. And i've used all of these.I hope this helps. Thanks,Jim Preece

This is what an ILF bolt should look like.

I tried a set of the Trad Tech limbs on my Morrison ILF riser. They simply wouldn't go on with the rubber pads attatched to the limbs. I removed the rubber pads, and they went on smooth as silk.

Had the same problem with a Samik on a Morrison riser, just took the bushing out of the limb and seperated it about a 1/64 of an inch and it snapped right in.
