After starting to catch up on emails , phone calls and work i can finally report on the Rod Jenkins clinics i hosted here in Australia [ thanks Jim C jnr for reminding me ]
Over the two weeks we hosted two clinics and ang got a about chasing deer and rabbits . The weather was somewhat against us , as was according to Rod, our lack of treestands ! Still we got onto some sambar [water elk ] and Rod had a go at the 5 million rabbits that seem to inhabit my horse paddocks [ they are very very nervous after years of escaping hounds , rifles , shotguns , eagles and building castles out of my broken arrows .....
As for the clinics . Growing up i shot an enormous amount of FITA and IFAA etc and realised that my form back then was a lot better than it is now ...ditti accuracy . as for TP...don't get me started ! Rod gave instruction in an easy manner that , although hard fought against by our lads stuck in there ways the reasoning of a proper shot process seemed to win through . I cannot recommend highly enough instruction by Rod. It almost immediately gives you a great set of tools to address your shooting . And to this in an honest with yourself appraoch is , although somewhat scary . it is ultimately liberating .
Rod stayed with me for the whole two weeks ...hoping i didn't mother the man to much but I'm pretty sure that i alrady have enough numbers to bring the man back for another bunch of clinics ..this time we'll get him onto some of our famous Aussie pigs !!!!!
I suppose I would now call the man my friend , not a term i use loosely . He is a valuable asset to us as archers and sportsmen and just good fun to be around ...
PS,, if are ever having a beer with him...ask him about the goat story...
I'll post pics and video when i can .
also...to those guys whom had sent me emails/ph calls etc ...apologies for the late replies but I'm getting round to them all .
cheers
Ben
