Lefty here. Like to shoot different bows, but I am starting to settle into my "keepers" so I have a list of Lefties if anyone should deem it necessary to PM me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

Another Leftie here. It is good to see so many others who shoot from the "wrong side" of the riser. Come on out of the closet...Papa Bear was a leftie too   :)

Not a convert due to injury. I am one of those mixed-up folks who is left eye dominant but right handed. Thankful that my Dad picked-up on it when I was a youngster. Have always shot "backwards"!

Another lefty here. I don't know if there's a bigger proportion of us now, or not. I've always thought the classifieds seemed to go in cycles... half the time there doesn't seem to be any LH bows for sale, then the other half of the time it seems to be just flooded with them! Maybe lefties are more connected than the "unwashed masses"... some kind of moon-phase thing when it comes to selling bows! lol

Another lefty here.  Haven't been to the classifieds in a while - very happy with the Bob Lee I bought off Big Al a couple years ago.  Thanks Al!

I'm RH but Left Eye dominant. Shot RH for 28 years and LH since 1996.

The archery industry makes 10 RH bows for every Left-handed one. However, when I teach archery I find that about 20-25% of folks in the class should be shooting left-handed because of left-eye dominance.

Now about the classifieds.  There aren't enough Lefty Schafer Silvertip fellows out there, but I'm adding one to the pile!

Kind of a pain sometimes, go to a shoot an see all these cool bows and can't shoot them because their wrong handed! I do have on left handed friend that seems to be ahead of me in the most bows competition so it's not all bad.

Another true lefty here. Definitely more LH bows listed than when I started following this site. In less than 3 years I bought over ten of them so I did my part. Went and sold back half of them now that I have a feel for what I like the most. Never shot a bow I didn't like.

Sort of mixed up---shoot a bow and a gun left
and write with my left hand but everything else is right handed.---Oh well the important stuff is done with the left.

Elf,

I was raised by right handers so I fall into the same category. Write, shoot and eat left handed. Everything else right handed. My parents did have an influence on me.

Forgot about all that stuff - I shoot a bow and rifle left-handed, but the knife and handgun have to be used my my right hand.  I write left handed, but anything heavy gets carried with the right.

I'm right handed, but lost my right eye in a shooting accident in 1963 - so have been shooting left handed since.  At least I don't have a problem knowing which eye is dominent . . .

Right handed, but eye problems forced me to read and shoot my bow from the left side.  Great bow prices when buying...tough to sell.

People are more savvy to the left eye dominance thing these days and are shooting left handed whereas 40 years ago they probably would shoot right handed as there weren't many LH bows on the shelf.  Custom bowyers have recognized this for a long time but production companies lagged behind.
