What bow is on your "must have list"
« on: August 23, 2010, 08:40:00 PM »
Just curious what bow or bows are on your "must have" list for someday, my list was an ACS, tomahawk, and a turkey creek, all I have left to buy is that turkey creek....I am sure another must have will replace its spot though

The only one that was ever on my "must have" list, I just bought... a bear takedown.

Original Harry Elburg. I have a 58" cheetah 56#@28" from Adam Proctor formerly Elburg Bows. But an original would be great. Haven't found a better bow yet.

My pyramid black locust self bow. Don't have any interest in a bow I didn't make. I do have some though and once in a while I shoot one.

I already have it, my Cocobolo/Yew Toelke Whip. In addition I have had Dan make me ten others, Whips, Super Ds, t.d. recurves and a Chinook one pc. recurve but I guess I just wanted those.

I don't have a must have bows list.  I have a real long must try list.

Perhaps a Spitfire archery composite horn bow to go with my Spitfire Hwa-Rang.

A Marc St. Louis HHB static recurve.

Got them already - 3 Das recurves. Occasionally try different limbs - Dryads seem to be a hit.

All my "must haves" are on order at this time:
--November Delivery--Rose Oak Super WIldcat
--December Delivery -- Rose Oak Limbs for Bear TD Supreme
--April Delivery -- Schafer Silvertip
--July Delivery -- Blacktail Snakebit

The bow on the list above that I would pay $100-200 extra to move up its build date is the Schafer.

I'm being very careful NOT to open any threads that describe bows by other bowyers because I need to stop this purty bow buying.

By the way, a must have that I didn't know about is completely different than the recurves listed above -- The Stick by Strickland is the best shooting bow I own and will go to the woods this year!  It is also the most economical -- by a little bit.

I would say a Pat B. selfbow, Osagetree (Joe Weed) self bow or a John Scifres self bow.

 About any good wood bow.
Striker stinger 58" 55# @ 28
any wood bow I pick off the rack.
