Lets See Some PICS of TABS you Use and Like....
« on: August 24, 2010, 04:13:00 AM »
Hey all,

I have been fooling around in my shop trying to modify some tabs to make them what I think would be better and other time I have spent trying to find pics others have made and use and trying to adapt them to fit me.  I haven't been too successful on that end.  I think I need to see more tabs to have a bigger field to pick from.  I know there is NO PERFECT tab, but it doesn't stop us from searching does it?

I've got a few that I can post as soon as I get a camera tomorrow evening, but I'd like to see more participants posting pics of their tabs they use and have used over the years.  Make sure to tell how they were made and what they were made of.  Remember, GOOD pictures are those that allow people to print them out and get a good tracing of it so they can use it also with their modification.

So lets have those TAB pics.  Any and all of 'em, no matter how strange or weird they look.

Thanks for the help and your participation...hopefully.

Here's one I am getting to try.  I like the "O" ring instead of straps or elastic.  I hope it works as god as it looks.  It's not mine, I "borrowed" it from EAGLES FLIGHT ARCHERY. I hope they won't mind.  If they do, I'll take it down and apologize....

Here it is:

See how cool they look.  I can't wait to get mine and try it.

I like (make that love) Cordovan tabs. I've used Don's, Eagle Flights split fingers for years and have one of his new O-ring style 3-unders now. I also now use the very simple Cordovan 3 under tab from 3Rivers extensivly (and keep 2 on hand). Don (Eagle Flight Archery) makes his own and is very careful about choosing his Cordovan - hard to beat that. I've used a lot of others and never actually dis-liked any (still have some of them - LOL) but the ones I mentioned are my favorites.

I'll come back with a pic (if Photo bucket will quit locking up on me).

I really like the looks of your top, left corner one, Nala. If it's Cordovan (as it looks), I'll bet it will be a winner.

Ah - it worked this time - LOL.

My favs - the top two are the 3Rivers Cordovan, the bottom two are Eagle Flights new O-ring Style (lft), and old  Split Finger style:
