camp work/stump shoot and cook out Sunday
« on: August 25, 2010, 09:21:00 PM »
ok lets try it again without the extreme rain!  i would love to put together a small  stump shoot/ camp work and cook out for Sunday. i need a little help with a new camp site. it will be VERY VERY basic, no grand illusions here. a nice lean too, fire pitt, water hole and just the basic's. it will be free to anyone to use as it is on public ground right near 5 acres that myself and Ron W own. also could ues a little help setting a tree stand or two and ground blinds. it is a beautifull area that you will fall in love with. i'm thinking of meetint everyone at 8am? what do ya say??

I'd love to help. I could really use a place like that. Let me check with my supervisor. She just fell asleep. What do you need?

Ken I'm in, sent you an e-mail. Casey will probably follow me or ride with me up.

Tell your mom to get the frog legs out, with good weather we will need to eat em up.

the way I see it, 150 legs, 1 miunte per side = 2 minutes to cook.  We will be cooking them for 30 minutes if we only fit 10 at a time in the pan.  Of course this doesnt account for my inefficiencies as a cook so add another 4 minutes to teh estimated cook time  :bigsmyl:
Relax,

You'll live longer!

can't really think of anything we need, i will buy a blue tarp tommorow unless anyone has one? as i said it will be a VERY BASIC camp but will be there for all to use. i plan on staying a weekend very soon as Sept 1 opens small game and that would be a great way to brake the camp in. also bear season opens soon and we could stay a weekend for that.

Manny,
sorry for the delay bro been going full tilt today getting things done! in all reality tommorow would not be a great time to make the trip as there will not be much time to relax due to camp chores. HOWEVER with in the next couple weekends i want to due a small game hunt that would be great for people to come up and get together! i know Horatio and sons would like to as well. also remember early bear season opens soon and i have 2 stands by good bear sign, could camp out that weekend too. so how about ya come up on a Saterday morning/afternoon and we small game hunt, stay at the camp and leave early Sunday afternoon? as allways this is open to all tradgang members.

Ken my friend,

Thanks for the invite!
I'll look into hunting license and the driving and I'll pm you early this week.

Do you have a zip code for me to mapquest the trip?

Take care,
F-Manny
