Since I didn't opt for the digi box for my older TV, I watch a LOT of videos. I enjoy most of the Primos stuff...
As for the high fives... if you listen to them describe the situation, I think it's a bit more understandable: hunting hard for 8 days, difficulty getting 2 stands, cameras, gear up a tree, moving frequently, getting busted or just being in the wrong tree...and it finally, finally comes together. I can relate to some of that...where it goes on and on and you're sure you're jinxed and them:BAM! It happens... emotions are real and raw at a moment like that.
I'd rather see some exhuberance than the dead pan stuff of Marlin Perkins in "Wild Kingdom" era with his non-emotive, "The bear is chewing on my foot...this is painful...and dangerous" commentary.
It still sometimes challenges me in a new woods, figuring out just what a pinch-point, funnel, edge looks like the "right way."
I know what it means to me, but then I'm never 100% certain. Someone said it before several times... the 'Why?'of a set up. I think many of them say all that stuff, but it's because the "outfitter/guide" told them.."hunt there!" That doesn't help me...
I know I've seen one or 2 vids over the years that tried to show the "scounting and picking locations". On film, it sucked. Just can't put it all on tape even w/a wide angle lens... so that is a huge challenge!
