You elk hunters have this swamprats respect. Having hauled a few 300# pigs out of the swamp, I have no idea how you guys get those big critters out of the woods. Miles from the road and there are HILLS! And mountains that you have to climb up and down!

Not gonna get to make a trip out west this year to chase elk.  I look foward to reading stories and seeing pictures.

I will be shooting a Pronghorn takedown, 56#@28, cedar arrows and Magnus or Zwickey 2 blades if an elk cooperates. With luck, a blue grouse or two will stumble across my path, and I will offer them a judo point.
