time for a new 3-D deer target....which one?

I had a delta Riverbottom buck for 5 years now and have literally shot it to pieces.  I have repaired it using the spray foam an burlap method about 10 times, and each time that technique lasts less time that before.  Now the entire shoulder area, from top to bottom is spray foam and it's just not holding up and stopping arrows any more.  

Give me feedback on the various ones you've owned and used.  I'm leaning towards the GlenDel buck (not the full rut one).  But let me know what you guys think.

what do you guys like about the Rinehart?  I just recently laid my eyes on one in person and they are super small!  Looked like a yearling button buck with a set of antlers?  What about them justifies price?  Glad you guys brought those up because I don't know much about those particular targets?

Ive got the Glen Del Full Rut, a compound buddy of mine had it for a year before he was passing through all the sides, so he gave it to me.  That was 4 years ago and I still shoot the darn thing for at least an hour a day.  It is a good target, HOWEVER I just wish the darn thing wasn't so big . . . its like I have an elk in my backyard standing next to my river bottom buck which is about the size of a sika deer.

My Glen dell is just starting to show sign of wear, I am starting to pass through, and I have not even started repairs yet.  Good target, a bit steep in price.

Personally even though I just voted for the glen del, I think I might get myself a Rinehart next!

The Glen Del has a metal bar under the heart lung area and destroys arrows. All the others have some type of plastic or metal skeleton.

Rockingham Bowhunters announced last week they are selling their McKenzie targets. Some look almost new. $100 each. Not sure if any are left.

I almost bought a Glendel Buck yesterday, after my move from KY I needed to get some new targets (left the old ones for the garbage man when we left...).

I opted for a new bag target (Morrell Huricane) and the Rinehart 18-1 for broadheads...  I still want to get me a 3d deer and a hog, but I'll have to wait on those.  Hard to beat a bag target for field tip use, and the 18-1 seems like it will be hard to wear out...  but I'll do my darndest!

I'm thinkng about the Bionic Buck, Glendel, and the Rinehart... leaning towards the Rinehart targets...

i've tried them all including Glendale.  All of them were shot to pieces within 3 months with the exception of the Rinehart (i put about a thousand arrows a week into them). The Rinehart bowhunter buck is not a small deer, but it is smaller than the Glendel buck.  i am very impressed with the Rinehart.  The quality of the Rinehart is (to me) in a different league than the others.

The Rinehart's you see in Bass Pro are pretty small.  They do make larger targets.

The foam in them is self healing, and takes A LOT more shots that the others out there.  It is also extremely easy to pull arrows, even from a wheelie bow.  

They do cost more initially but last for years and you only need to replace the core.  My club has been using them for 5 years and we haven't replaced a body yet on larger targets.

Gotta second the Glendale buck!!

They are great.....very easy arrow removal; can also use broadheads ( big + right there IMO!).

There are 2 sizes I believe. I've had mine going on 5 yrs. and have left it outside the entire time excetpt about 3 months during the winter. I'm on my second insert but it has seen a lot of arrows.

I've had a Rinehart bowhunter buck for over a year and he is doing great.  I Armor All him once in a while too.  Small is not bad when picking a spot.

Another vote here for Rinehart, more money for the initial purchase, but lasts so much longer that it is cheaper in the long run.

Purchase the glend-del and buy some more arrows while your at it.... you'll soon need them.  A very large gap (about 1.5 inches) is all that separates the removable block and certain doom to any arrow that is shot a tad low.  The metal frame bar runs just under the block and I have destroyed at least 5 arrows hitting this bar.  Most were from the ground, one from a tree stand practice session....

that's good info...I'm not trying to ruin a bunch of arrows.  The Rinehart is so darn expensive -- anybody got a shopping spot where they are getting them cheaper?

Another Vote for Rinehart,they cost more but they are worth it,you can shoot Broadheads at them but for what they cost I would shoot Broadheads at something else and save it for target Tips only,
