This was my 1st fly away hunt. We were picked up at the airport in Lewiston and started our way toward to mountains after a good nights sleep in Kamiah. That's where the fog pictures were taken.
Once in camp some two hours or so later, we went about getting moved in and our bows set up again. We had a roomy tent with a wood floor and a wood stove.
The camp has two functional out houses and a camp shower. Water is heated by the cook stove in the mess tent and used in the shower via gravity. Over all the camp was very comfortable and the food was incredible!
Gary, the outfitter assigned me the bait up the road from camp about a 1/4. I had bears in every night except the last.
I have so many incredible memories crammed into that week it is hard to remember what happened when.
I believe it was the third night that I was watching "boo boo" the yearling.
I was standing behind a large stump. I looked to my left and a biggerbear was coming in! There I was just standing out in the open. They can't see all that well so I just froze.
