In Appreciation for Terry Green
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:55:00 AM »
Terry,

I made this "Robin Hood" hat just for you because of all you do for us here.

I didn't take any of my shortcuts like gluing this one together. It's all hand stitched and I have the blisters to prove it.

If this isn't something that you have any interest in wearing, I'll understand but I hope you accept it in the spirit it's given.

Please e-mail or pm me your shipping address and I'll get it out to you.

Thank you!!

God bless,Mudd

It would be a great pose for St.Judes next year without the shirt!

I think he'll wear it because he put bids on (and won) a commercial one that I put on the first or second St. Jude Auction, saying that he was going to wear it hunting. I think it turned out to be too small for him though. Nice looking one, Mudd, and nice gesture.

I tried to guess at how big to make it, then made it bigger than that...lol

Thanks for the kind words!

I figured there wasn't much I could do to really show my appreciation other than make something with my own hands.

These are starting to get better with each one I make so I figured what the heck, just give it a shot.

Maybe he'll wear it.

God bless us all!

Although I'm not a haberdasher like Mudd, I would also like to express my appreciation to Terry for this site (as well as to the sponsors)! I've learned more here in a very short time than I could have learned in years of trial and error on my own. This is a class site all the way. Thanks!

It's gone into the hands of the USPS so you should have it in a month or so...lol J/K

I did send an insert to a bowyer to have installed and that was over a month ago. I wish now that I had put it in a box instead of a regular envelope. I bet it got hung up in some sort of automated system somewhere.

God bless,Mudd

PS: Terry there's something in there for Carmen's birthday too.(whenever that is)

Oh, Mudd...you should've sewn in some strings all over it so's Tarzzz could tie in some greenery of varied sorts!

I smell another picture for St. Judes in the making... after the one w/ cut-out sleeves, perhaps a "Tarz in Tights?"

I'll even bid on that one for the kids!  :)
