NEW from KME and Braveheart Archery - KME Sharp Tuskers in stock!
« on: September 05, 2010, 07:15:00 PM »
Hello Trad Gang,

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a cooperative effort between Braveheart Archery, KME Sharpeners and Tusker Broadheads.  Braveheart Archery now has in stock Tusker single bevel Concorde broadheads pre-sharpened with a wicked KME razor edge.  These heads are scalpel sharp and will shave hair easily right out of the pack.

These are offered in a very versatile 145 grain weight, single left or right bevel with tanto tip.  Protective coated by KME to preserve the edge until your ready to turn it loose.  We have the left bevels in stock now and ready to ship, right bevels should be in stock in a few days.

The KME heads are on our website, scroll down the link below.  Priced at $49.99 a   six pack.

Is left/right bevel related to the side you shoot off?

I believe it is in relation to which feather you shoot, right wing or left wing.

Hopewell Tom, like dragonheart said for best performance match the bevel to your fletching.  Right/right and left/left.

Joe, the right bevels are not here yet but they will be in a few days.  You're free to order now if you want.  We'll get them out to you as soon as they hit.

The RH beveled heads were shipped Thursday or Friday so Braveheart will have them next week. Anyone who's ever sharpened an "out of the pack" Concord knows that there's quite a bit of work involved. They're great heads with very hard steel but setting the bevels the first time can be pretty labor intensive, not a heck of a lot different than sharpening a Grizzly.

The pre-sharpened Concords will shave right out of the pack so after shooting them a few times, all that's needed is a quick touch up on a stone or two, no file work required. Here's a picture of some of the pre-sharpened heads. Notice that the tanto tips are a bit broader and while you may not be able to see it in the photo, the tips have been sharpened too:

We also sorted them by finished weight so that every head in a 6 pack will be within 6 grains or less.

For those of you that shoot lighter weights, we have a few packs in the 125 to 130 grain range as well.

Quantities on those are very limited so they are not on the site, PM or e-mail if those interest you.
