To my knowledge only active military can hunt Vandenburg, wish I had known about it when I was active.
Camp Roberts I have heard little good about compared to other areas. Good luck

My friends and I hunted Camp Roberts about 15 years ago for quail and hogs just after New Years. Obviously, this was with long guns. Quail was scarce, and no sighting on the hogs. I heard only 1 hog was taken that week-end out of nearly a hundred hunters. That was my only experience with Camp Roberts. I've heard Hunter Liggett up north was much better. But that's hearsay.

Just trying to narrow down some locations in southern Ca... These looked to most promising. Right now I'm at Ft Irwin CA - retired military - working a 5 year contract. All is good...
Was hoping a TradGang member also hunted there... Would be great to meet some of ya and hunt together... Pretty busy with 10 kids and working 50+ hours like everyone else...
Just want to find my little "place" to go...
Thanks for the comments...
Still looking for inputs on these locations if at all possible... Wanting to also know about how well folks did or are doing and the restrictions if possoble..
Thanks in advance
