Thanks for posting that pic Rob, I don't believe I have ever even seen a picture of a black deer before? Seen plenty of solid white ones, but never a blackie. I'd have to save that one for a full body mount.

I have hard of a Melanistic deer before but have never met someone who has actually seen one!

Wow! I have seen pictures of them before, but boy, are they nice.

I think I like them better than white ones.

Hey, that is a rare find indeed, Melanism is much more uncommon than albinoism.  it is a genetic goof, and extremely rare!  I ahve only seen one other in central Wisconsin.

As a kid with my family we seen a black deer and not many people would belive it. It is so cool to see this picture it will make my dads day to show it to him.
