Everyone now agrees on one single perfect arrow and broadhead combination and have reached a consensus on which is the best shooting bow of all time.  :D

Seriously, it would be pretty hard to give a recap of seven months worth of stuff.  One highlight though was that we surpassed $100,000 for the St. Jude auction this year!

On a similar vein as Joe, the minimum poundage needed to kill each and every game species in North America has been determined, and agreed upon...LOL

Lots been going on in the last 7 months, including St. Judes, and also lots of new members, new bowyers making some nice products and getting recognition for them, as well as some very sucessful hunts happening around the world.

Lupe,
Glad you're back!  A flood has flowed under the bridge in one month let alone 7 months. The "gang" has been very informative and respectfully opinionated. We've probably written too much about buying or trading stuff that maybe should have been in classifieds.  Some folks refuse to show us pictures of their new bows as soon as they receive them and make us wait an hour or more!

Some fellows out west and in KY are already hunting and sharing their stories.  Others are counting the minutes until they too can join the fray.  It seems there are a lot of guys pretty new to traditional equipment or back from a long interlude with compounds.  Some of us are a bit nervous about dumping all the shooting aids and committing to our form and instincts, but we'll get there.

We've concluded that if it ain't got curve it ain't worth....whoops...I almost let that cat out of the bag. I don't know if it's my imagination or not but many of the new longbows must come with computers and TradGang registrations ... a lot of them are raising rabble (again, respectfully so).

We've decided the best custom curves are these:
Schafer Silvertip, Rose Oak Super Wildcat, and Predator Anniversary. Some others are pretty good too.

Oh, and I continue to type posts that are too long.

Lupe,
By the way, those of us who are opening this thread you've created are attracted because we think you are writing about:

1. A new bow you are waiting on (Silvertip, Super Wildcat or Predator of course)?

2. YOu live some where with mighty strange seasons and your season is still more than a half-year away?

3. You've just found out a new bowhunter is two months into its due date to your house?

LOL!

No consensus  yet, on a definition of Traditonal...and it is OK to own, shoot and discuss ILF bows. Also, everyone has been pretty bored but now that hunting seasons are opening up some good stories are beginning to emerge.....Fun!

Don't deal with Siegework archery....unless you need new excuses to explain why something hasn't been done.

Finally we have made a decision on whether split finger or 3 under is the best method.  Big news.

Also we are in complete agreement and harmony on how to aim a bow.

You really have mised a lot.

The rumor mill rolls on and on!

There's a bear season in Missouri's future, the return of elk to Missouri by MDC and we have wild pigs in our state. Yeah right!

There's also a nasty rumor that I'll build arrows if push comes to shove..(not gonna happen)...lol

I will admit that I offered to eat grits(southern tofu) for one of Ron LaClair's Huntmore chairs...lol

God bless,Mudd

You missed quite some Bigfoots, Sasquatches, Black Panthers, ginat turkeys etc. that went through here.

And the Site is now only for Vegetarians, Catch and Relaese with sucker-cup tipped arrows only!   ;)    :knothead:
