rubber band - tooth pick. Place tooth pick on other side of arrow pass, hook rubber band on one end of pick then over arrow & arrow pass, then slide over tooth pick end.

Randy,
If you fix the match stick on the off side of the bow, with the head pointing back, the rubber band will self release as you draw it back.

That's a hoot!  For forty years I've been blundering around the woods holding the arrow on with my finger. Good post.

I used one made of a popsicle stick and rubber bands for years, The rubber can slide on the arrow if the arrow is wet so I quit using them.
Since I shoot off a rug on the shelf, I have no problem with the arrow falling off while on stand, unless it is real windy, then I just get down and go set in a ground blind. Still hunting, I never put an arrow on the bow till a shot is eminent  (To dangerous walking around with along pointy thing sticking out there)

Daniel. The pics are gone. Maybe asking the poster to repost them? Or email them?

You sure your attaching it to the back of your bow instead of the front.....   I've used a quick lock for years and never even thought of it not releasing...

The side of the bow facing the archer is considered the front. The back is the side facing away.

Kwikloc holds the arrow on the front of the bow, toward the archer.

They work wonderfully. Takes a half second to secure the arrow without looking and releases when you draw.
